Massachusetts Academy: Emma Frost convenes the Hellions. James Proudstar expresses his distaste at fighting the New Mutants. Tarot draws The Lovers from her card deck. Emma inducts Kitty Pryde and the New Mutants into her training sessions.
Limbo: S'ym recovers Dani and Illyana from the wilderness. Illyana heals herself and returns with Dani to the Massachusetts Academy.
Massachusetts Academy [A]: A year passes. The New Mutants join the Hellions.
Massachusetts Academy [B]: A week has passes, during which Emma Frost departs for Boston. The Hellions challenge the New Mutants to fight for their freedom. Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw appear. Kitty short cricuits the Combat Room. She and the New Mutants escape.
Xavier's School: The Demon Bear manifests before Dani.
NOTES: The story takes place in winter. A calendar gives the year as 1984. The Hellions' Combat Room apparently cannot generate virtual scenarios. It is summer of the next year when Illyana and Dani first return from Limbo.
