Death-Hunt
A week passes. Charles Xavier and the X-Men depart for Massachusetts. Dani pits herself against increasingly difficult bear-hunt scenarios in the Danger Room.
Xavier's School: Rachel Summers enters the Xavier estate. Dani and Illyana oversee Amara, Roberto, and Sam in the Danger Room. Dani contemplates recent events. Rachel reaches the mansion, but flees upon being greeted by Illyana.
Space: Warlock eludes Magus.
Xavier's School: At night, Dani confronts the Demon Bear in the mansion grounds and is defeated. Rahne alerts her teammates, who rush Dani to Mid-County Medical Centre.
NOTES: In Rachel Summers' future, the US military have laid siege to the X-Mansion. Charles Xavier is killed attempting to reason with the attackers. Illyana Rasputin dies in the subsequent destruction of the mansion. In the present, Dani has been dreaming about the Demon Bear since the events of the previous issue. First appearance of Warlock and Magus. It is winter. Dani's parents went in search of the Demon Bear because of her spirit-sending.
